Small Changes Still Make Me Happy

Here is the house right now!

So there have been lots of small changes - or rather big, but interior changes. The electrical is more than halfway done. The plumbing (rough) appears finished. On the outside, they have added the insulation and chicken wire that supports the stucco. And the community is changing too.

The ramada is mostly complete :



And here are our new street signs!





Still no word on the final backyard plans and we haven't done the electrical walk-thru. I did do the cable/data/surround sound placement last week - so the good stuff is square :)

To top it off, Eric and I went with his brother, Marc, to buy wood for a new table. Eric and Marc are making both me and their sister (Micki) a counter-high conversation table. We got some amazing walnut (seen below) and I purchased a variety of stains to test. More as that develops!

Some February Fun too

Some of our money has recently been well spent on bathing vessels for our filthy children :)







More importantly, we got roof! Well, as much as anyone has at this point. The tar paper and brackets to hold the tiles are up and those are the most vital pieces for weather proofing. With the addition of windows, we are almost thinking we might avoid the puddles in the family room that Aiden, Emory and Mason so love and Eric and I so hate!



I got a call today saying that next week they prewire for the fun stuff - surround sound and cable. Cool, eh?
